XAVIC XHE Encoder (HDTV MPEG-2) XAVIC XHE is SAPEC’s professional video and audio High Definition (HDTV) MPEG-2 (ISO/IEC 13181) encoder. XAVIC XHE supports digital video input (HD-SDI/SDI) and up to 8 SDI embedded mono channels and up to 4 stereo pairs AES/EBU (*). XAVIC XHE allows transmission over DVB-ASI (two ports) or IP (two ports), that can be used even simultaneously. XAVIC XHE supports 422P@HL and MP@ML profiles in MPEG-2 HD and MP@L3 and HP@L3 profiles in H.264. The basic model supports MP@HL and MP@ML profiles by default and the others can be upgraded via license. XAVIC XHE have a configurable bitrate, from 250 Kbps using H.264 SD compression up to 80 Mbps using MPEG2 HD, with GOP configurable both in length and format, what makes this equipment suitable for the highest quality HD applications and professional contribution links and also for applications in which bandwidth is limited. XAVIC XHE supports 1080i and 720p at 60, 59.94 or 50 Hz. XAVIC XHE supports several audio algorithms: MPEG-1 Layer II, MPEG-4 AAC (LC/HEv1, HE v2), Dolby Digital (pasthrough), Dolby Digital Plus (passthrough), PCM transparent passthrough and SMPTE-302M. XAVIC XHE is being continuously improved and due to its architecture, any enhancement can be incorporated by firmware upgrade. XAVIC XHE with the IP 10/100/1000 BaseT connection and the integrated webserver allows remote and local control over LAN / WAN networks, with the ability to store internal events and potential alarms. XAVIC XHE power supply can be AC or DC, and optionally it can have a redundant power supply, so AC+AC, AC+DC and DC+DC power supply configurations are possible.
