XAVIC XVE Encoder (SDTV H.264 / MPEG-2 Encoder) XAVIC XVE is SAPEC’s H.264 (ISO/IEC 14496) / MPEG-2 (ISO/IEC 13181) family of Standard Definition (SDTV) audio and video encoders. XAVIC XVE supports digital video input (SDI) and to 8 SDI embedded mono channels and up to 4 stereo pairs AES/EBU for audio (*). XAVIC XVE allows transmission over DVB-ASI (two ports) or IP (two ports), that can be used even simultaneously. XAVIC XVE supports MP@ML and 422P@ML profiles for MPEG-2 SD and MP@L3 and HP@L3 for H.264 SD. All units can be upgraded to MPEG-2 HD, providing a quick adaptation for business needs. XAVIC XVE models have different encoding profiles by default and can be upgraded with optional profiles by means of software license. XAVIC XVE has a configurable bitrate, from 250 Kbps using H.264 SD compression up to 80 Mbps using MPEG2 HD, with GOP configurable both in length and format, what makes this equipment suitable for high quality applications and also for applications in which bandwidth is limited. XAVIC XVE can work with resolutions from 128x95 up to 720x480 (525i) and 720x576 (625i) at 60, 59.94 or 50 Hz with aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9. XAVIC XVE supports several audio algorithms (depending on the model): MPEG-1 Layer II, MPEG-4 AAC (LC/HE v1, HE v2), Dolby Digital (passthrough), Dolby Digital Plus (passthrough), PCM Transparent passthrough and SMPTE-302M. XAVIC XVE is being continuously improved and due to its architecture, any enhancement can be incorporated by firmware upgrade. XAVIC XVE with the IP 10/100/1000 BaseT connection and the integrated webserver allows remote and local control over LAN / WAN networks, with the ability to store internal events and potential alarms. XAVIC XVE power supply can be AC or DC, and optionally it can have a redundant power supply, so AC+AC, AC+DC and DC+DC power supply configurations are possible.
