ALTUM AHD Decoder (HDTV H.264 / MPEG-2) ALTUM AHD is the professional video and audio H.264 (ISO/IEC 14496) / MPEG-2 (ISO/IEC 13181) family of High Definition (HDTV) decoders with support for 4:2:0 and 4:2:2 profiles (both in H.264 and MPEG-2). ALTUM AHD has one HD-SDI/SDI video output and as audio outputs up to 8 SDI embedded mono channels and up to 4 AES/EBU channels. ALTUM AHD can optionally present a genlock input in order to synchronize the video output with a SD or HD reference signal. ALTUM AHD can receive the encoded signal over DVB-ASI or IP. ALTUM AHD has an ASI loop output for monitoring or signal forwarding purposes. ALTUM AHD supports Hi422P@L4, HP@L4 and MP@L4 profiles in H.264 HD as well as 422P@HL and MP@HL profiles in MPEG-2 HD. ALTUM AHD models have different encoding profiles by default and can be upgraded with optional profiles by means of software license. ALTUM AHD is able to work with bitrates from 250 Kbps using H.264 SD compression up to 80 Mbps using MPEG-2 HD compression or the Hi422P@L4 profile in H.264, with GOP configurable both in length and format, what makes this equipment suitable for both contribution links and content distribution. ALTUM AHD supports 1080i and 720p at 60, 59.94 or 50 Hz. ALTUM AHD supports several audio algorithms (depending on the model): MPEG-1 Layer II, MPEG-4 AAC (LC/HE v1, HE v2), Dolby Digital (passthrough), Dolby Digital Plus (passthrough), PCM transparent passthrough and SMPTE-302M. ALTUM AHD is being continuously improved and due to its architecture, any enhancement can be incorporated by firmware upgrade. ALTUM AHD with the IP 10/100/1000 BaseT connection and the integrated webserver allows remote and local control over LAN / WAN networks, with the ability to store internal events and potential alarms. ALTUM AHD power supply can be AC or DC, and optionally it can have a redundant power supply, so AC+AC, AC+DC and DC+DC power supply configurations are possible. |
