XAVIC XHD is able to work from 250 Kbps using H.264 SD compression up to 80 Mbps using MPEG2 HD compression, with different GOPs, what makes this equipment suitable for the highest quality HD applications and professional contribution links and also for applications in which bandwidth is limited.
XAVIC XHD supports 1080i and 720p at 60, 59.94 or 50 Hz.
XAVIC XHD supports several audio algorithms (depending on the model): MPEG-1 Layer II, MPEG-4 AAC (LC/HE v1, HE v2), Dolby Digital (passthrough), Dolby Digital Plus (passthrough), PCM Transparent passthrough and SMPTE-302M.
