XAVIC XVD Decoder (SDTV H.264 / MPEG-2) XAVIC XVD is SAPEC’s professional H.264 (ISO/IEC 14496) / MPEG-2 (ISO/IEC 13181) family of Standard Definition (SDTV) audio and video decoders. XAVIC XVD supports digital video output (SDI) and to 8 SDI embedded mono channels and up to 4 stereo pairs AES/EBU for audio (*). XAVIC XVD can optionally present a genlock input in order to synchronize the video output with a SD or HD reference signal. XAVIC XVD can receive the encoded signal over DVB-ASI or IP. XAVIC XVD has an ASI loop output for monitoring or forwarding purposes. XAVIC XVD supports MP@ML and 422P@ML profiles for MPEG-2 SD and MP@L3 and HP@L3 for H.264 SD. All units can be upgraded to MPEG-2 HD, providing a quick adaptation for business needs. XAVIC XVD models have different encoding profiles by default and can be upgraded with optional profiles by means of software license. XAVIC XVD has a configurable bitrate, from 250 Kbps using H.264 SD compression up to 80 Mbps using MPEG-2 HD, with GOP configurable both in length and format, what makes this equipment suitable for the high quality applications and also for applications in which bandwidth is limited. XAVIC XVD can work with resolutions from 128x96 up to 720x480 (525i) and 720x576 (625i) at 60, 59.94 or 50 Hz with aspect ratio of 4:3 or 16:9. XAVIC XVD supports several audio algorithms (depending on the model): MPEG-1 Layer II, MPEG-4 AAC (LC/HE v1, HE v2), Dolby Digital (passthrough), Dolby Digital Plus (passthrough), PCM Transparent passthrough and SMPTE302M. XAVIC XVD with the IP 10/100/1000 BaseT connection and the integrated webserver allows remote and local control over LAN / WAN networks, with the ability to store internal events and potential alarms.
