SIVAC MTS Multiplexer SIVAC MTS is SAPEC’s remultiplexer, able to combine up to 8 multi-program or single-program (MPTS or SPTS) Transport Stream (TS) inputs and provides the necessary tools for setting up and manipulating the output TS. SIVAC MTS supports MPEG, ATSC and DVB standards processing and regenerating the tables. Some output tables parameters can be added and modified, such as, for instance, those related with the network information. All SIVAC MTS inputs support the TS over DVB-ASI format. Input 1 is also software configurable as ASI or SMPTE 310M. SIVAC MTS provides 4 outputs: • 2 ASI outputs (1 for monitoring); • 2 SMPTE 310M outputs (1 for monitoring); SIVAC MTS1400 model supports 8 virtual outputs, one of which can be selected as physical output. Switchover across virtual outputs can be triggered from the control interface or by setting up error or alarm conditions. SIVAC MTS enables to manipulate each PID separately. There are two basic modes of operation: • Manual routing: Allowing to block, pass-through or re-map each PID; • Automatic routing: Automatically fixes conflicts across PIDs; SIVAC MTS supports insertion of SI opportunistic data in DVB and PSIP in ATSC. SIVAC MTS allows to quickly and conveniently analyze input and output TSs by means of different graphical visualization methods for PIDs and tables. SIVAC MTS series supports configuration and alarm display via a web browser, front display, and also provides an SNMP agent for external monitoring. SIVAC MTS features make it especially suitable for DVB or ATSC head-end applications where combining and manipulating multiple video sources (encoders, EPGs, etc) into a single TS is required. SIVAC MTS1400 model is suitable for DVB or ATSC head-ends that require: • Redundancy: automatic output switchover in case of failure in any of the inputs. • Output configuration changes, either manually by an operator or automatically from a management system |
